What is the Wigtown Book Festival?

The 10-day festival is a celebration of literature, featuring music, film, arts and theatre as well as performances, workshops and talks from local and international talent.

The festival provides a platform for more than 200 writers from Scotland and beyond. As well as celebrating literature, the festival hosts outdoor activities and performances which embrace the region’s natural beauty. It also runs a year-round programme of events and activities which include work with young readers and writers.
