What is the Royal National Mòd?
The Royal National Mòd provides an opportunity for people of all ages to perform in competitions across several disciplines including Gaelic music, Highland dancing, sport, drama and literature.
There is also an opportunity to enjoy non-competitive events including cèilidhs, concerts, workshops and performances from some of Scotland’s top traditional musicians and Gaelic singers.
The Royal National Mòd is organised by An Comunn Gàidhealach which was founded in Oban in 1891. Each year, the festival is hosted in a different Scottish town or city, with the next festival taking place in Lochaber in the Highlands of Scotland.
