What is Glasgow Film Festival?

The first festival took place in 2005 with just 6000 attendees. Today, the festival has transformed into an international event that continues to grow and develop its reputation as a key launch pad for films and filmmakers at every stage of their career.
When is Glasgow Film Festival?
Glasgow Film Festival takes place each year in February and March and runs for 12 days. The 23rd Glasgow Film Festival will run from 24 February to 7 March 2027 with the usual programme packed with premieres, special events and guests sharing stories that entertain and inspire in the best way possible: together in the cinema.
