  • St Andrew’s Society Tartan Gathering

    St Andrew's Pub, 140 West 46th Street, NYC

  • Some of Scotland and New York’s brightest performers, dancers, and pipers will come together at Saint Andrew’s Pub to kick off Scotland Week.

    All are welcome. Reservations are not required. Just show up and don’t forget to wear something tartan!

  • The Scots Who Built New York, The Early Days (1664 - 1750)

    The Arsenal Gallery, Central Park, NYC

  • Historian and architect John Kinnear will take us back to the Early Day of New York - of Livingston and Captain Kidd, of New Amsterdam.

    This is the seventh talk in the series which has traced the Scots influence on the creation of New York's landmarks from the earliest days to today.

  • Tartan Day Observance

  • Hosted by the American-Scottish Foundation, the Tartan Day Observance recognises and celebrates, through readings and music, the Declaration of Arbroath, signed on April 6, 1320 and the US Senate’s designation, in 2005, of April 6 of each year as “National Tartan Day”. Event Highlights Include:

    •Excerpts from the Declaration of Arbroath read by renowned actor and 2017 NYC Tartan Day Parade Grand Marshal, Tommy Flanagan
    •The St. Columba School Pipe Band
    •The Highland Divas

  • The Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan & Pre-Parade Brunch

  • Parade day would not be the same without this time honored event for the entire family. The service at St Agnes will be followed by the pre-parade brunch and all are welcome to join St Andrew's Society of the State of New York at the parade line-up which begins at 1 PM.

  • Tartan Day Parade 2017

  • The 19th annual Tartan Day Parade takes place on 6th Avenue on the 8th April and is the stalwart of the Scotland Week calendar.

    Want to march in the Parade? Click here to complete the form and register with the American-Scottish Foundation. The Parade starts at 2.00pm on April 8 at W45th Street and marches up 6th Avenue to 55th Street.

  • Scottish Ballet’s New York Triple Bill
