Glenfiddich’s Dressed to Kilt fashion show will again kick-off Tartan Week. Produced by Sir Sean Connery’s Friends of Scotland charity, Dressed to Kilt is now the most prestigious Scottish fashion show in the world. The theme of this year's show will be “Mad for Scotland”.

New York Tartan Day Parade

Join 2,000 pipers and drummers for the 12th Annual New York Tartan Day Parade, the largest event celebrating Scotland in New York. All pipe bands, individual pipers, drummers and drum majors, Scottish clans and organisations, and descendents of Scotland invited to take part. The parade starts at 2:00pm stepping off from 45th Street and marching up 6th Avenue ending at 58th Street.
Post Parade Party

This not to be missed, sell-out party at STOUT will feature the best in live Scottish music. Starting at 4:30 pm and running to the late hours, the Post Parade Party will feature live entertainment.

Entitled "Moral leadership & the economic imperative" the discussion will be moderated by Chrystia Freeland, US Managing Editor, Financial Times. Panellists include Professor Richard Mundell, recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize for Economics in 1999, William T Nolan, President, Devonshire Holdings, author of The Wealth of Enterprise, and Dr Eammon Butler, Director, Adam Smith Institute. Adam Smith is of the most influential members of the Scottish Enlightenment. His writings some nearly 250 years on are the basis for much of what is today's economic thinking.
