Moray Firth ranked among the best coastlines

The “undiscovered gem” of the Moray Firth has been ranked among the world's most breathtaking coastlines.

The stretch of seafront from Inverness to Peterhead is in “excellent shape, relatively unspoiled, and likely to remain so", according to the National Geographic Traveller magazine.

The firth was placed alongside Namibia's Skeleton Coast and the Chilean Fjords in the magazine's “top-rated" category by a panel of 340 sustainable tourism experts.
