XXth Commonwealth games tartan competition
The Drum
The Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee has issued a challenge to school pupils in Scotland to design the official tartan for the games.
The competition will be run alongside Learning and Teaching Scotland and will see schools encouraged to run their own competitions before submitting a final entry to compete on a national level.
Schools will digitally upload their entry online onto a piece of software named ‘Tartan Generator’ before 17 June to be considered against other entries from across Scotland.
The overall winning entry will be used across specific merchandise, branding and ceremonies tie into the games.
