Top chef to give Canada and US a taste of Scotland
The Press and Journal

The head chef of one of the Highlands’ most celebrated restaurants will promote Scottish food in Canada and the US this week as he takes part in Scotland Week.

Inverness-born Michael Smith, who runs the kitchen at The Three Chimneys at Colbost on Skye, will highlight Scotland as a centre for culinary excellence during his trip across the Atlantic.

He will showcase Scottish food and cooking during a live demonstration on Canada AM, a national breakfast show, and he is booked to appear on the world-famous Martha Stewart Show.

Mr Smith is also expected to cook for a number of private events for some of Canada and America’s most influential travel and business figures. And he will be at a private viewing of Whisky Galore in New York on April 7, to mark the 70th anniversary of the grounding of the SS Politician on South Uist.
