St Andrew's Day winning menu

Top Scottish chef Craig Wilson has been crowned the winner of the country's first ever St Andrew's Day Menu competition.

Following a Scotland-wide search Chef Wilson beat off competition from six other culinary talents in a public vote for the national title – 'Scotland’s St Andrew’s Day Menu 2011'.

Championing Scotland’s outstanding natural larder and the finest locally sourced ingredients, the public’s favourite menu includes a delicious Cullen Skink Risotto followed by a Roast Loin of Lamb, Crispy Haggis and Braised Lamb with Neeps, Tatties. To finish Chef Wilson has created an Oatmeal Shortbread, Glen Garioch Whisky Chocolate, Scottish Marinated Raspberries and Whisky Caramel.

Craig Wilson said:

"St Andrew’s Day is a time when people should come together and celebrate all that is great about our country and this has been a great opportunity for us to fly the flag for our fantastic natural larder and the quality suppliers living and working in Scotland. I hope people are inspired by the menu we’ve created and enjoy recreating the dishes at home."
