Scottish animator's Lego rugby video is huge hit in NZ
STV
A budding Scottish animator’s Lego video of a famous All Black’s try has become a huge hit in New Zealand after featuring on a national newspaper’s website.
Teenager Graham Love spent four days carefully filming the stop animation of John Kirwan’s famous 80-metre try against Italy in the opening match of the 1987 Rugby World Cup using nothing but Lego and Blu-Tack.
He was approached to create his latest video after posting a short clip of Lego men performing the Haka on YouTube, which has now had over 200,000 views.
And the 18-year-old, from Aberdeen, revealed how he has been forced to defer his university course for a year to concentrate on his work after being commissioned to make more videos for the New Zealand Herald and ITV.
