Scots designer’s blog lands him giant Urban Outfitters contract

They say the early bird catches the worm, and for young Scots designer Samuel Sparrow that's certainly proven the case.
Samuel, 27, of Glasgow, has won a contract to supply super-chic giants Urban Outfitters, thanks to a travel blog he started writing before the launch of his online shop.
The Glasgow School of Art graduate, who has worked with IKEA and Habitat, founded Sparrow & Co in December 2010, selling handmade products that use traditional crafting skills alongside his own designs.
