Scotland and Canada through a lens
These strong connections between the people of Scotland and Canada are the subject of a photography exhibition which will visit parts of Canada over the month of April.
The exhibition entitled 'This is Who We Are' was created by Graeme Murdoch and Harry McGrath of Cultural Connect Scotland, and explores the links between Canada and Scotland through people and places.
The two men travelled across Canada from Nova Scotia to British Columbia, visiting communities which derive names from Scotland and helping people they met tell stories of their connections to Scotland through digital photography.
Graeme Murdoch said: "The project demonstrates the strong influence of Scots who left Scotland and moved abroad, how they connect with Scotland now, and how they envisage this connection developing in the future. This makes a compelling statement of who we are, wherever we are."
The exhibition will visit the University of Guelph until April 4 before moving on to Canmore (Civic Centre) on April 9.
