Scotland is a land of myths and legends from the world-famous Loch Ness Monster to water kelpies. We explore just a few of them.
Award-winning Scottish chef Tony Singh has been travelling around India to demonstrate his unique fusion of Indian and Scottish cuisine.
Tony, who will visit New Delhi, Bangalore, and Mumbai, said: “I am delighted to be returning to India in order to showcase Scotland as a unique and vibrant destination for Indian visitors.
“Scotland has a huge range of experiences that are attractive to Indian visitors, from the culturally rich cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh to Scotland’s accessible scenery and countryside. Scotland is also a culturally diverse and welcoming nation.
“I am proud of my Scottish and Indian roots and would undoubtedly recommend Scotland as the perfect destination for Indian visitors.”
Tony is part of a trade delegation led by the Scottish Government, Scottish Development International and VisitScotland which aims to promote business, golf, whisky, culture, tourism and education.
His father was born in Lahore in 1944 and Tony was born in Edinburgh. He travelled to India for the first time in 2008, visiting Punjab, Amritsar, Anandpur, Agra, and Delhi. Tony still has family living in the Mavlia Nagahr region of South Delhi.
