Food & drink festivals
In the summer months the Scots really enjoy themselves. From huge music festivals, with some of the world’s biggest bands, to comedy, arts and book festivals there’s always something going on somewhere in Scotland during the hottest months of the year.

Orkney Fine Wine festival: Orkney
4 – 11 June
An informal celebration of good wine, food, and the matching of the two; the only one of its kind in Scotland.

Scottish Real Ale festival: Edinburgh
16 – 18 June
CAMRA's Scottish Real Ale Festival is not to be missed. This year's festival features over 150 beers from over 35 breweries.

St Magnus festival: Orkney
17 – 22 June
The St Magnus Festival is an annual 6-day arts festival which takes place on the islands of Orkney. The unique combination of world-class performance, community participation of the highest quality and the magic of Orkney at midsummer attracts audiences from afar.
Tarbert Seafood festival: Tarbert
2 – 3 July
Tarbert is a picturesque place that happens to be one of the few working fishing ports left in Argyll, so they have some of the best and freshest seafood in the region and a festival to show it all off.
The Famous Grouse festival: Crieff
12 - 13 August
The Famous Grouse distillery and visitor attraction in scenic Perthshire plays host to its first festival, with chances to sample exclusive whiskies, masterclasses in whisky-themed cocktail making and live music.
