Year of Creative Scotland 2012
A year long programme of events to celebrate Scotland’s world class culture and creativity will run throughout 2012.
'Wha's like us?' Quite a few actually! There are now an estimated 40 million people of Scots descent worldwide. When it comes to events like Burns' Night and St Andrew's Day the festivities span several continents! But you don't need a reason and you don't have to have Scottish ancestors to enjoy a little bit of Scotland wherever you are.
Don't forget to take a look at some of the new additions to the traditional celebrations: the Edinburgh International Film Festival, Edinburgh Book Festival, a music festival like T in the Park, or the largest arts Festival in the World, the Edinburgh Fringe, where everything from world class comedy to theatre, film, dance and the arts are on all offer.
