"Heading up the professional body for magazine publishing in Scotland, I can only wonder at how industry scales vary in a country such as the US when our own small nation publishes around 700 magazine titles. Our company has visited and promoted our own magazines in the US for many years now with increasing results, so we have enormous respect for our publishing colleagues in the States. Generally, there are more similarities in systems, markets, print and distribution than there are differences.
