"100 years ago my Scots grandfather emigrated to Canada. He took the entire family with him. I was born, lived and studied in Ontario and it was while I was at university there that I met Andrew. I followed my heart (and Andrew) to Scotland where I have lived for over 25 years. Within two generations, I had completely reversed the vision of my grandparents to realise my own ambitions. It felt right. This is where my roots are, and though I still have strong Canadian connections, Scotland is my home."
